On Monday and Wednesday mornings, Amado and Kate from Foundations Physio deliver physiotherapy classes specifically tailored for a community of people living with Parkinsons. The classes are circuit based and are influenced by the PD Warrior Programme. Foundations Physio are fortunate enough to work with the charity PDUK to provide subsidised classes for members of the Guildford and Waverley Branch and welcome all that are effected to come and join!

Monday afternoons from 4.15pm to 7.15pm the Royal Academy of Dance ballet hold classes for boys and girls aged 4 years and above. See the hall users page for details.

On Tuesday mornings, Wayne and Kay Richardson, host a U3A singing group called Singing for Fun.

Kay says “We’ve got people from all walks of life who get together in The Chichester Hall to have fun and sing their hearts out. Some read music – some don’t – but we all get along together and make a wonderful sound. Singing really is fun.

”Led by Wayne, the group sings pretty much a bit of everything – songs from stage musicals and films; a bit of ‘pop’ (“well, our ‘pop’ anyway”, says Kay); folk songs; rock ‘n’ roll; country; gospel; quirky; sacred; classical. If they think they can do it, they have a go. It’s very much song and laughter all the way.

On Tuesday evenings our own Charlie Lewis runs a Circuits session. This social way to keep fit is fun, inclusive, and suitable for all ages and abilities. You work to your own pace on your own socially-distanced station, all kit provided. The session starts with a stretch, ends with a stretch and has various one minute exercises in between. It’s an inexpensive full body workout with the occasional beverage afterwards. No judgement, no egos, just a friendly bunch of locals.

Charlie invites you to “come and give it a try, first session free.”

On Wednesday evening there is a choice of two classes led by Tina Dicker - Broadway Boogie and Totally Shredded. If you love to dance and you love show tunes, then Broadway Boogie is the class for you. It’s guaranteed to leave you with the biggest smile after shaking those jazz hands! Totally Shredded is an HIIT & Combat workout that is inspired by Drum & Bass & Funky House Music. It’s based around fun and is a workout that shreds inches from your body. On Friday morning, Tina runs the Jungle Body Mash Up class which combines Boxing, Cardio, Dance, Toning & Ballet!

Tina believes that fitness should be fun. She says “There is no better feeling seeing people leaveclass, glistening, smiling and achieving their goals. Everyone is welcome in my classes and over the years we have become a very special, friendly community.”
